Credit Union of America's Kristin Smet brings food to the Kansas Food Bank for the "Pound Out Hunger" campaign.
The official weigh-in at the Kansas Food Bank was 370 pounds!
Credit Union of America joined the fun by donated 364 pounds. The Kansas Food Bank received 235 pounds and the Barton County Food Bank received 111 pounds from Credit Union of America's Great Bend branch.
Throughout the month of October, staff members were encouraged to bring in two food items per week to make the goal.
It was part of October's National Co-op Month, and in collaboration with the
Kansas Cooperative Council, who invited ALL cooperatives to look for
ways to help feed hungry people in your communities.
Together, we can help share the message of cooperatives' concern for their community as we help pound out the hunger around us.
