Topeka, Kan. - Educational Credit Union’s downtown branch will have its grand opening on Friday, April 26th at 1129 S. Kansas Ave. The grand opening will have members of the Greater Topeka Chamber of Commerce, Downtown Topeka, Inc., and ECU board members and staff for the ribbon cutting at 10:30 a.m., followed by the Topeka High drum line and refreshments until 1 p.m.
ECU will have two of their charities of choice in attendance, Barry Feaker, Executive Director of the Topeka Rescue Mission, will be autographing his book, "In Darkness, A Light Still Shines,” and Mistletoe the Moose, TARC, Inc.’s mascot.
The new branch increases ECU’s commitment to the downtown Topeka area and allows ECU to offer additional teller windows and drive up lanes, a drive up ATM, safe deposit boxes, additional parking, and other great features to better serve their growing membership.
Educational Credit Union is one of the oldest credit unions in Kansas, dating to 1939. ECU has over 21,000 member/owners and $180 million in total assets.
