Melissa Baptista has joined the Kansas Credit Union Association as Research and Development Director, a new position at KCUA.
Baptista is responsible for new product and idea development including the creation of business plans and budgets, and researching and analyzing potential offerings and assisting credit unions in evaluating, developing and implementing new products and services.
With nearly 10 years’ experience in the financial industry, she will lead KCUA’s new Innovation and Implementation Lab where creative ideas will be put into action to advance the Kansas credit union movement.
Prior to working at KCUA, she worked in operations and marketing at Emprise Bank, as well as new product development at The Coleman Company.
She is a 2009 Graduate of the ABA School of Bank Marketing and Management and completed the WSU Center for Educational Development curriculum for project management.
She sits on the Girl Scouts of the Heartland Gold Award Committee.
