Credit Unions for Kids and the National Credit Union Foundation (NCUF) recently partnered to enhance the financial education opportunities for patients and families at every Children's Miracle Network (CMN) hospital in the U.S.

The goal is for every Children’s Miracle Network Hospital in the nation to have these DVD sets.

Thank you to the Topeka Credit Union Foundation for donating two BizKid$ DVD sets to the St. Francis Health Center in Topeka. There are still two CMN hospitals in Kansas in need of the DVD sets: KU Medical Center in Kansas City, KS and Via Christi Hospitals in Wichita.

CO-OP Financial Services has graciously agreed to pick up half the cost of all Biz Kid$ DVD Box sets as part of our NCUF/CU4Kids initiative to donate them to CMN hospitals across the country. The cost for each set is just $150, A donation of $300 would cover the cost for the remaining two Kansas hospitals:

The Kansas Credit Union Association has already donated $1000 for production of these DVDs. Consider donating collectively or individually to help support our CMN Hospitals. The DVDS are even customizable so patients and families know who donated the program.

Please consider donating whatever you can to help our local CMN Hospitals. The deadline for donations is April 30. Our goals is to have all CMN hospitals covered by the end of the month, in conjunction with April as National Financial Literacy Month

Ordering and donation information is available on the NCUF website.

Biz Kid$ is the Emmy Award winning and credit union funded public television series that teaches kids about money management and entrepreneurship.

“We hope the donation of the Biz Kid$ program will develop an even deeper credit union/hospital relationship where credit unions not only support the financial needs of the hospital but also the financial needs of the patient families,” said Danielle Brown, NCUF Director of Development and Donor Relations. “Linking credit unions’ philanthropy with their mission to improve people’s financial lives is truly a win-win.”
