Applications are now being accepted for three $1,500 college scholarships to be awarded this year. The YES Committee awards two scholarships annually and this year, an additional $1,500 scholarship will be awarded thanks in part to the generous donation of Don and Molly Homan.
Don serves on the Board of Directors at Frontier Community Credit Union and his wife Molly, is Senior Vice President/Human Resources Director at Mainstreet Credit Union.
Scholarships are available to children and grandchildren of credit unions staff and volunteers. They are awarded annually to provide financial assistance for tuition and books for a graduating high school senior or college student.
Applicants must be high school graduating seniors or a full-time college students. The scholarship is to be used for Kansas accredited schools only.
Applicants must submit the following with the application:
copy of current school transcript
letter of recommendations from applicant’s sponsor (A sponsor is the parent, guardian, grandparent currently employed by a credit union or is a volunteer for a credit union)
300-500 word essay on "What is a credit union and what does it mean to me?”
