Topeka, Kan. – Educational Credit Union will be presenting TARC with a check Monday, December 23rd in the amount of $3,162 at their headquarters, located at 2808 SW Arrowhead Rd. at 3:00 p.m. today.

Educational Credit Union’s President/CEO challenged staff to raise $2500 for TARC with promises to shave his head. Educational Credit Union was able to pull together as a team and crushed the goal raising a total of $3,162 in just three days.

TARC is one of Educational Credit Union’s charities of choice. Today’s contribution will increase their total contribution for 2013 to just over $18,000 for the year. This includes all monies raised through Educational Credit Union’s TARC debit card. Each TARC debit card swipe creates a $0.10 donation. The donation continues to grow and for the second year in a row, the amount has increased by $3,000.

Educational Credit Union is one of the oldest credit unions in Kansas, dating to 1939. ECU has over 21,000 member/owners and $187 million in total assets.
