Our marketing and communications department’s focus is two-fold. We help credit unions cut through the clutter and provide you the information you want and need, and our public awareness efforts show consumers that credit unions are a smarter choice.
We promote the value of credit unions through media relations, community outreach and social media and keep you "in the know” of important issues affecting your credit union.
The marketing and communications department works to:
Inform you of industry news and happenings through email, direct mail and online platforms like our website and social networks.
Plan and coordinate statewide Make a Difference events, illustrating the "people helping people” philosophy and putting that philosophy into action.
Build and strengthen relationships with journalists statewide, as well as with community organizations like Consumer Credit Counseling Service, local and state chambers of commerce and others. Generate consumer content as well as earned media coverage for positive credit union stories.
Coordinate paid advertising and underwriting messages geared to the overall benefit of Kansas credit unions.
Credit unions are vital to the health of every community. Our philosophy of "people helping people" is the backbone of the industry, and your efforts to help members should be told through good news stories. Our Make a Difference events have doubled in size, illustrating that credit unions live and breathe the credit union difference every day.
The League-credit union partnership is an integral element in the survival of credit unions. It ensures our financial health, supports our community efforts, and gives consumers a choice in selecting a financial institution.
