Bartlesville, Okla. – KU Credit Union’s board of directors announced this week that the company has changed its name to Truity Credit Union.
In making the announcement, President and CEO Kelly Diven stated, "Our new name, Truity Credit Union, stands squarely on our 74-year foundation of Trust and Integrity. We are proud of our rich tradition and history with the University of Kansas; however, Truity Credit Union will help convey that we serve not only this employee group, but others as well. It will help position the credit union for future growth and financial strength.”
The credit union hired a nationally recognized naming and branding firm to assist in the development of their new name. "The relationships we have enjoyed with The University of Kansas, Phillips 66, ConocoPhillips, Tyson Foods and our other Select Employee Groups will continue uninterrupted with no change in the high quality of service we provide. Our Vision, Mission and Core Values that have served us well for many years will continue to be the core of who we are,” Diven continued. "I want to make sure everyone understands that this change is in name only. We have not been bought or acquired. The name change will not impact member accounts, the financial products we offer, or the outstanding service we provide to members.” The credit union will begin using its new name immediately.
Truity Credit Union has $685 million in assets and serves more than 60,000 members. Learn more at www.kucu.org.
