WICHITA, KAN.—Meritrust Credit Union is pleased to announce they have been selected the winner of the Working Well Award sponsored by the Health & Wellness Coalition of Wichita in the ‘Medium Employer’ category.
"We couldn’t be more proud to win this prestigious award, showcasing all our efforts year-round to keep our employees healthy,” said Byron Stout, VP of Human Resources.
The Working Well Award was established in 2005 to award those employers who saw the need for workplace wellness programs and implemented a comprehensive health and wellness strategy to not only reduce injuries and health care costs, but also to increase the morale and overall well-being of their employees.
"At Meritrust, we recognize good health is good business. We believe the quality of life for our employees and their families is vital to the success of our organization. Our comprehensive CUWell program, which includes an in-house fitness center, is a holistic approach designed to impact, empower and promote total wellness in every employee’s life—physically, financially, emotionally and within our communities,” said Stout.
Meritrust first won the Working Well Award in 2011 in the ‘Innovative Employer’ category. The same year, IMA won the ‘Small Employer’ category and Cessna won the ‘Large Employer’ category. This year is the first year a ‘Medium Employer’ category was added for businesses with 101-500 employees.
