Meritrust Announces 2014-2015 Member Scholarship Recipients

Meritrust Credit Union is proud to announce the winners of its 2014-2015 scholarships. The scholarship recipients were selected from an application and essay process, and each winner will receive a $1,000 scholarship to be applied to their 2014-2015 school year.

“We were impressed with the academic and extracurricular accomplishments of all students who applied for the scholarships,” says James Nastars, Meritrust President/CEO. “Thank you to all Meritrust members who applied for the scholarships. We’re proud of your achievements.”

More than 60 students applied for this year’s Meritrust Member Scholarships. Four scholarships are awarded through the process, with one scholarship each being awarded to a student attending Wichita State University, University of Kansas and Kansas State University, and a general scholarship for all other accredited post-secondary schools in Kansas.

Congratulations to these Meritrust members for being selected as scholarship recipients:

Brittany Rieschick
Hometown: Augusta
Brittany is a junior at Wichita State University studying nursing.

Joanna Nichols
Hometown: Wichita
Joanna is a graduate student at University of Kansas studying pharmacy.

Maureen McCafferty
Hometown: Wichita
Maureen is a junior at Kansas State University studying accounting.

Zipporah Ndungu
Hometown: Wichita
Zipporah will be a freshman at Wichita Area Technical College studying nursing.
