WICHITA, KAN.—Meritrust Credit Union is proud to support college students and has once again offered five annual $1,000 scholarships. Students who have been members for at least a year were eligible to apply and were asked to submit an application along with a short essay.
"Giving back to our members is important to us, as is the ensuring our future leaders get the education they need and deserve to become successful citizens of our community,” said James Nastars, President/CEO.
The 2013 recipients are Nicholas Cook and Brandon Streeter, both from Derby, who plan to attend Wichita State University, Taylor Cantrell of Wichita, who plans to attend the University of Kansas, Nicole Hernandez of Wichita, who plans to attend Fort Hays State University and Benjamin Taylor of Derby, who plans to attend KSU Salina.
Meritrust has awarded over $25,000 in scholarship money since they began offering scholarships to members eight years ago.
