Changes for Annual Meeting Silent Auction

For years, the YES Committee has been able to provide scholarships for college, for credit union employees to attend training programs and seminars, and to promote financial literacy throughout the state.

This has all been due to the generosity of the credit unions that donate money annually through the dues process and also from individuals who participate in the yearly annual meeting silent auction, the two major sources of fundraising for the YES Committee.

The YES Committee is happy to announce that they are implementing changes to the Annual Meeting Silent Auction that they hope will both increase the amount of participation as well as increasing the funds that are raised.

The silent auction will be held this year in conjunction with the Exhibitor Showcase luncheon and reception on Friday and breakfast on Saturday. They will also hold a Live Auction for the more expensive items at the Awards Banquet on Saturday evening.

There are two ways that you can contribute to the success of the silent auction:
  1. Contribute an item of at least $30 in value to be used as an auction item. Items can be dropped off at the golf tournament on Thursday or at the registration desk at the annual meeting on Friday.
  2. Contribute money for the purchase of an auction item by the YES Committee. Monitory donations for the silent auction can be sent to Amy Tillison, KCUA, 2872 N. Ridge Road, Ste. 122, Wichita, KS 67205 remitted to the Kansas Credit Union Association.
Please send donations no later than March 15th so the committee will have time to shop on your behalf.

Credit unions who donate an item of at least $50 in value will be put into a drawing to win a free registration for the 2014 KCUA Annual Meeting and Convention.

In addition, the credit union or person whose item brings the highest bid in the silent auction will receive $100.

Thank you for making a difference in the lives of credit union staff and volunteers to help support their educational efforts. The YES Committee appreciates your continued interest and can’t wait to see where your donations can be utilized to help others.
