Wichita, KS--- Catholic Family Federal Credit Union is
pleased to announce the selection of Michael Taylor as the credit union’s new
President. Taylor assumed his new position effective January 1, 2013.
CFFCU Board Chairman, Ron Lee said, "As a Board, we were
apprehensive going into this search that we would be able to find a candidate
fitting our criteria. We had not changed
management in nearly 25 years and with the current economic climate we knew we
had a challenge in store. In addition, the Board instituted some lofty goals in
order to gain our place in the market and to greatly enhance our service to
Catholic Community. After several
applicants, our interviews quickly narrowed to Mr. Taylor, based not only on
his past experience but the manner in which he welcomed the challenge and also
wanting to grow our base and services to the Catholic and related community. We
are very pleased with the current path and outlook Michael brings to the staff
and Catholic Family Federal Credit Union.”
Taylor was born and raised in a small farm community in
southwest Indiana. He completed his education and started working at a
financial institution in Indiana. He brings 37 years of banking experience to
CFFCU. Taylor comes to Wichita from "The Catholic Credit Union” in Denver,
Colorado.
About Catholic Family Federal Credit Union
Catholic Family Federal Credit Union is a not-for-profit
financial cooperative with over 4,300 members and $27 million in assets. The credit union was founded in 1947 by
Father Arthur Klyber, C.Ss.R. and members of St. Joseph Catholic Parish,
Wichita, Kansas. Chartered as St. Joseph Federal Credit Union, it served
members of St. Joseph Catholic Parish, employees of the credit union and
members of their immediate families. In 1947, the requirement for membership was
a deposit of 25¢ each month until five dollars (one share) was deposited. In
1990, St. Joseph Federal Credit Union was re-named Catholic Family Federal
Credit Union. CFFCU now serves the Sedgwick County Catholic Community.
