Overview:

According to the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA), at the end of 2012, 59% of all Americans were living paycheck to paycheck. And 56% of Americans do not have funds on hand to cover unanticipated financial emergencies.

The need for financial counseling in credit unions is real. Whether you are looking to start a financial counseling program or already have one in place, Mark Lynch, Field Coach for the National Credit Union Foundation's Real Solutions will share insights to the need for financial counseling in credit unions and how to develop a successful program.

This session is designed for credit unions who are interested in helping provide trustworthy help to members and potential members so that they can successfully manage their money and avoid problems such as bankruptcy, foreclosure and loan defaults.
