KCUA invites your credit union to participate in KCUA’s Legislative Policy Form. As you know, the Legislative Policy Forum is your opportunity to provide valuable feedback and ideas to the KCUA governmental affairs staff and KCUA Board of Directors on the policy issues facing credit unions in Topeka and Washington DC.
The Legislative Policy Forum was created give credit unions the opportunity to discuss current state and federal legislative issues, determine if an official policy should be created and if so, create policy recommendations to be submitted to the KCUA Board of Directors. The Legislative and Regulatory Policy Forum is chaired by John Beverlin, KCUA Board Member and President/CEO of Mainstreet Credit Union.
A key discussion item of this policy forum will be the 2014 Kansas legislative session and the policy direction of credit unions on potential legislative issues. The Model Credit Union Act language will be discussed as well as a variety of other issues impacting credit unions. In addition, time will be spent discussing the 2013 KCUPAC contributions.
Attendees will receive a detailed agenda along with detailed background briefing materials a week prior to the policy forum.
Your participation is crucial to helping determine the direction taken by KCUA on a variety of legislative issues. Credit union CEOs and/or their designee are invited to participate.
Lunch will be provided for one attendee from each credit union. Additional lunches for extra attendees from your credit union can be purchased for $10. Additional attendee charges will be applied after registration has been received.
