Join us for the kick off to the Innovation & Implementation Lab as we look to inspire creativity and innovation across Kansas credit unions. We will have keynote presentations by Wil Schroter, One of America’s Most Successful Young Serial Entrepreneurs & Matt Davis, Innovation Director at Filene Research Institute .

Additionally, afternoon breakout sessions will include brainstorming activities and building a working list for the newly created Think Tank team to develop during 2013. Come ready to have a creative and interactive conference experience.

About the Presenters:

Wil Schroter
Wil Schroter is a serial entrepreneur. Wil has been named Young Entrepreneur of the Year by the U.S. Small Business Association and is has also been recognized by the Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year program. He has also been named the Ohio Businessperson of the Year as well as Business First’s Top 40 under 40.

In addition to starting companies, Wil also writes about them. He is a nationally syndicated columnist for American City Business Journals where his entrepreneurial advice appears in over 40 major markets. He is a contributing columnist for Forbes as well as the author of "Go BIG or Go HOME” which details how to grow startup companies as quickly as possible.

Matt Davis
As the Director of Innovation at the Filene Research Institute, Matt Davis guides the prestigious i3 program to create new products, services, processes, and business models for credit unions. He is the author of several Filene publications, including Get in the Game: How Credit Unions Can Engage Members, Solve Problems, and Improve Skills with Game Thinking, Smart Score: Getting Credit Score and Related Education to Consumers, and Debt in Focus: Rethinking Financial Guidance.

Matt cut his credit union teeth at the $250 million Members Credit Union in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, and has spent the past nine years learning from, creating, inspiring, and implementing credit union innovation. He has been featured in Fast Company, Bloomberg Businessweek, Yahoo! Finance, Bankrate.com, and other national and international media. He was named one of the Triad Business Journal’s 40 Business Leaders Under 40 (NC), a member of Filene’s 30 Under 30 group, and the Credit Union Times' Trailblazers 40 Below. Matt is the creator of The Credit Union Warrior blog, and the co-founder of cuwatercooler.com.

Max Wolff (new speaker just added)
Max Wolff is an economist specializing in international finance and macroeconomics. Before joining Isosceles Ventures, Max spent two years as a Senior Analyst, Chief Economist at GreenCrest Capital. Prior to GreenCrest Capital, he spend four years as the senior hedge fund analyst at the Beryl Consulting Group, LLC. 

Max teaches finance and statistical research methods in the New School University’s Graduate Program in International Affairs. His financial markets and macroeconomics work appears regularly in The Wall Street Journal, Reuters, Bloomberg, The BBC, CNBC, Forbes, NPS, PBS National Business Report, The Financial Times, Russia Today TV, and Al Jazeera English.

$40 per person. This event is heavily dues supported brought to you by your Kansas Credit Union Association. Your cost is to cover the cost of food.

Cancellation Policy:

Cancellations received less than 72 hours prior to the seminar will result in a $25 cancellation fee. As always, substitutions are welcome and encouraged.
