Media, both traditional (broadcast and print) and non-traditional (social media, blogs, online) is one of the best conduits for your credit union messaging. With an industry awareness rate of only 6%, your credit union story needs to be heard now more than ever. Anne Legg, who is not only a Credit Union insider, but a former working member of the media, will provide you with you some examples of how other credit unions are using media to share their credit union story as well as some easy tools you can implement right away to get your message heard.
Speaker: Anne Legg is the VP of Marketing for the California based Financial Partners CU. Prior to Financial Partners, Anne held the Vice President of Marketing position for Cabrillo Credit Union in San Diego. During her 13 years at Cabrillo, she participated in two mergers, developed a new credit union brand, implemented quality programs, create a nearly, virtual auto dealership, and consistently grew loans year over year. Anne recently finished an eight-year term on the CUNA Marketing and Business Development Executive Council, eventually serving as Vice Chair and Chair for five years. She has also served on the Board of the Marketing Association of Credit Unions, and served as a member of the California and Nevada Credit Union League Public Advocacy Committee that was tasked for raising awareness of credit unions in the two states it serves.

Scholarships are available for all KCUA education events. Scholarships pay 100% of registration fee for credit unions under $7M, 50% for credit unions between $7-$75M and 25% for credit unions over $75M.
