Overview:
Relationships drive our lives in every aspect; they also drive our business, our opportunities and our lending.  Relationships also mitigate risk and allow for better performing loans.  This session will focus on relationships and how they can gain you more loans that will perform at higher yields. Join us for this session to learn.

  • What an ideal CU relationship should look like.
  • The greater the relationship a member has with your credit union, the less risk they pose.
  • Why a member with a strong CU relationship and a low credit score is an ideal member to lend to.
  • It's not about the credit score but all about the relationship.

Speaker: Pierre Cardenas has 26 years in the financial industry at both credit unions and banks.  He has held executive level positions in organizations from $140 million to over a billion in assets.  Pierre started his own business "Innovators of Changeā€ in 2008 while serving as the Senior VP of Retail at a $540 million CU.  In 2010 Pierre joined forces with Credit Union Lending Advice (CULA), a credit union consulting organization.
