Mortgage Department Manager

Credit Union: Hutchinson Credit Union
Location: Hutchinson, KS
Job Description:
Responsible for planning, organizing, and directing the activities of the Mortgage Department.

Oversees the extension of credit for home loans and related U/W, processing, closing, and funding functions. Ensures such lending operations are in
accordance with established policies, procedures, and legal requirements; and result in maximum volume, appropriate profit, and minimum delinquency ratios.

Coordinates and oversees loan and promotion activities, and ensures all subordinate areas of responsibility support HCU objectives and goals. Trains, directs, and appraises assigned personnel.
Ensures services are delivered professionally and efficiently, and members' problems are resolved promptly.

Pro-actively supports and advances HCU's brand platform.

Responsibilities:
Assists the Vice President of Lending in developing short and long-term goals and plans for the Mortgage Department.

Assists with budgeting. Provides suggestions and recommendations.

Develops policies and procedures for Mortgage activities.

Conducts periodic reviews of existing systems and procedures to ensure maximum efficiency and legal compliance.

Investigates improvements in lending and promotion practices that will further the objectives of HCU.

Maintains advanced knowledge of HCU products and services.

Coordinates, schedules, and directs Department functions.

Pro-actively supports and advances HCU's brand platform.
Requirements:
A two-year college degree in business, finance, or a related field; or equivalent
experience.

At least five years of progressive experience in lending/mortgage related positions preferred.

Thorough knowledge of HCU mortgage products and applicable policies and standards.

Understanding of government regulations, legal requirements, and secondary market rules involving lending and related functions.

Familiarity with mortgage programs and real estate experience.

Skills:

- Strong leadership and supervisory skills.

- Well organized, and able to meet deadlines.
- Excellent public relations skills.
- Able to operate related computer applications and business equipment.

Credit Analyst (Underwriter)

Credit Union: Hutchinson Credit Union
Location: Hutchinson, KS
Job Description:
The Credit Analyst is responsible for analyzing a loan applicant's credit history and approving or denying the loan application based on the analysis. This person will review the loan application package and make recommendations to front-line staff in regards to cross-sell possibilities. They will establish relationships and maintain good rapport with front-line lending staff and indirect dealers.

Responsibilities:
Ensures lending operations are conducted in accordance with HCU policies and are legally in compliance.

Works closely with front-line staff to evaluate and verify loan criteria and approve loan applications.

Calculates terms, finance charges, and insurance on loans for proper disclosure on promissory notes.

Maintains advanced knowledge of HCU products and services.

Pro-actively supports and advances HCU's brand platform.
Requirements:
Bachelors degree in finance, accounting, business or related field or equivalent work experience.

Minimum two years of previous indirect or mortgage lending experience or experience with full-service financial institution preferred.

Knowledge of consumer and residential lending practices required.

VP Member & Strategic Services

Credit Union: Kansas Credit Union Association
Location: Wichita or Topeka, KS
Job Description:
Deliver consulting and compliance services to credit unions. Direct the dues supported functions of consulting and compliance for the small credit union program, regulatory advocacy, education and training and public relations. Provide the leadership and management needed to achieve organizational objectives relative to quality of service, retention of membership and service mix within the overall mission and policies of the Kansas Credit Union Association.
Responsibilities:
45% - Develops and delivers of consulting services to member credit unions, including compliance, financial and operational management, human resource management, and implementation of new products. Performs financial analysis of credit unions, monitors trends, performs research on new products and technologies, creates white papers and recommendations on pertinent items.

20% - Directs credit union development activities. Establishes, implements and maintains member service standards, assuring members receive the best service possible. Supervises activities that advocate credit unions to the general public and regulators ensuring a favorable operating environment for credit unions to grow and prosper. Develops policies and procedures covering resolution of member complaints.

20% - Directs and implements short and long range planning and development programs, consistent with objectives; develops organizational objectives and plans for their achievement, including affiliation, education/seminar revenue, favorable public and regulatory advocacy, and growth of member credit unions; continually reviews and updates plans. Prepares and monitors budgets for credit union development services consistent with overall strategic plan for KCUA.

10% - Promotes affiliation and use of KCUA programs/services to credit union boards, committees, and managers.

5% - Reviews and recommends the appointment, employment, transfer or termination of credit union development employees; evaluates performance of direct reports and approves evaluations done by subordinate managers.

3. To develop and maintain a qualified and motivated staff.
4. To keep the President informed regarding key operational, environmental and personnel issues affecting the KCUA.

Interpersonal Skills: The ability to motivate or influence others is a material part of the job, requiring a significant level of diplomacy and trust. Obtaining cooperation (internally and/or externally) is an important part of the job.

Other Skills: A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, marketing, administration, economics, management or other business related discipline with at least five years of management experience. Strong aptitude for research and analysis; excellent written and oral communication skills; thorough knowledge and understanding of strategic planning, financial management, political and regulatory processes, public relations and marketing techniques; a senior level knowledge of financial institution operations.

Manager

Credit Union: Sunflower Federal Credit Union

Job Description:
Part-time manager for $500,000 credit union will fulfill all functions of credit union including working with members, board, supervisory committee and credit committee members.
Responsibilities:

Job Description - Member Service Representative.

Category of Employment - Full-time; non-exempt.
Responsibilities:
Essential Functions and Accountabilities

•Receive and process transactions as noted. Greet and direct members and telephone calls to appropriate staff. Provide general credit union information. Cross-sell all credit union services as appropriate.
•Receives member's comments in person or by telephone concerning any or all their credit union accounts and research problems if necessary. Handles to satisfactory conclusion member inquires on accounts, statements and transaction history.
•Process cash transactions at the window, including deposits, cash withdrawals, money orders, traveler's checks, check withdrawals, payments, and other transactions as requested by the members.
•Be able to assist members with all Member Service products and services, including: Checking Accounts, ATM Cards, Debit Cards, Certificates of Deposit, Money Orders, and any other products the Credit Union offers.
•Prove cash at the end of the day. Order cash daily to maintain proper balance in denominations of currency and coin to carry on daily business.
•Handles mail payments and deposits. Pull, record, and file closed accounts. Perform file maintenance and account changes as needed. Update signature cards. File membership cards.
•Assist other departments when necessary.
•Assure proper maintenance, cleanliness, and security of work area, desk, equipment, etc.
•Perform other duties as required by supervisors.
