The Children’s Miracle Network (CMN) is a non-profit, charitable organization that is dedicated to raising funds for and awareness of children’s hospitals.
Founded in 1983, CMN’s pledge is to keep 100 percent of donations in the area in which they were raised and to put children first in all it does.
Credit Unions for Kids
Credit Unions for Kids is a CMN fundraising campaign in which Kansas credit unions participate.
The program works on several levels—credit union, regionally, and statewide. Credit unions are encouraged to raise funds individually and collectively, through partnerships at the local level and as a state.
Individual credit unions support Children's Miracle Network by participating in annual fundraising events including Miracle Treat Day, Miracle Jeans Day and Holiday Icons.
Kansas Children's Miracle Network Hospitals include
- KU Medical Center, Kansas City, KS
- St. Francis Health Center, Topeka, KS
- Via Christi Hospitals in Wichita, Wichita, KS
In 2012, Kansas set a record for the number of participating credit unions who participated in Miracle Jeans Day in September. Thirteen credit unions plus KCUA wore jeans in support of Children's Miracle Network Hospitals.
