CUlead, a new initiative coordinated by the Kansas Credit Union Association is a program aimed at building and enhancing our credit union management staffs' leadership abilities to further the credit union and cooperative movements.

Who should apply?

Mid-level management who:
  • possess leadership potential
  • are ready to further develop their leadership skills
  • Two or more years management/supervisory experience recommended

About the Program

1 year program  |  Six, two-day sessions

Sessions/field trips held around the state
Class size:
12-15 leaders, per year

  • Develop leadership skills and competencies
  • Interact with your peers
  • Engage in dialogue
  • Build on current leadership abilities
  • Learn from nationally recognized presenters and industry experts

Participant Program Expectations

  • Complete all pre-session assignments
  • Complete group and individual assignments and projects in a timely manner
  • Actively participate in all sessions, including but not limited to being a group leader and/or making presentations to the group
  • Identify and select a mentor who will assist me in the program and communicate roles and responsibilities to mentor

Educational Investment

  • $1,500  *scholarships available from the YES Committee (see application form when available)

  • September 5: Nominations opens
  • November 3: Application deadline
  • December 8: 2015 class announced
